TUR M: İstanbul continue to perform miracles, Halkbank win without Le Roux

After making huge upset in opening round and beating Halkbank, İstanbul downed other favorites, Fenerbahçe 3-0 (25-20, 30-28, 25-22) in Round 2!

İstanbul’s players evenly divided points among themselves with four of them having double digits which does not happen often in a three-set game. One player slightly stood out – American William Price with 13 points. In Fenerbahçe, Metin Toy was, by far, the best scorer – 19 points.

Halkbank, the main favorites for the title, achieved their first win in Top 4. In a derby, they prevailed over Arkas Spor as visitors 3-1 (25-20, 20-25, 25-19, 26-24) even without the Frenchman Kévin Le Roux and with Dragan Travica as a substitute. In the absence of those two, the Pole Michał Kubiak had 16 points. Antonin Rouzier, the French opposite, scored 23 in Arkas.

After two rounds, Fenerbahçe is the only team who did not win a single game.
