“We are happy that we won the first official match against VakifBank in this season. As I have previously said the rivalry between two teams is big, they have a very good team, but I somehow do not like to talk about the other teams. I want to look at my team only and I can say that we played a good match and our tactics worked perfectly today. The decisive things in this match were that we served very good and that we made big effort to save every ball. Because, when Eczacibasi Vita and VakifBank face each other the ball usually goes several times over the net in a single rally.”
It was Maja Ognjenović who had especially good serves today. She made 4 aces, while she scored 10 points in total today!
“I would say that my serve is just not that good (smile). But, it turns out sometimes that it is (smile). I can see that it is making problems to the players on the opposite side, even at our trainings. I guess it is because the ball is flying for a long time to reach their side. I am just trying not to make a service mistake, because it is the stupidest way to lose a point. Today, we had our day when it comes to serves.”
