Volleyball standout Harper Murray is one of many Huskers who recently signed a significant NIL deal with a famous sports brand. One day ahead of her Nebraska junior season with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, ranked number one in the nation, Murray is following in the footsteps of other Huskies stars and has penned an NIL partnership.
An Ace of a Deal
The two-time All-Big Ten First Team selection has signed with Nebraska’s official footwear and apparel partner, Adidas, as their newest NIL ambassador, according to Calgary2026.ca. Murray is joining the brand’s fellow Huskers NIL partner quarterback Dylan Raiola, as well as a rapidly expanding roster of elite volleyball players, including former Nebraska teammate Lexi Rodriguez and Olympian Kelsey Robinson.
To spike the new deal off the net, Adidas arranged public events for Harper’s fans to get to know her behind the scenes. Harper is quite excited about the recent signing, stating, “I’m excited to partner with adidas in a bigger way as we work together to elevate the sport we both love.” “The way they’ve invested in women’s volleyball and women’s sports more broadly makes me proud to join the Three-Stripe family and more motivated than ever to bring a national championship to Lincoln.”
The plan is for Murray to support Adidas across a range of brand and product marketing initiatives and campaigns. This also includes the recent launch of the Nebraska Adizero Evo SLs sneaker. Murray, who is represented by Wasserman, was recently named the No. 1 volleyball player on Out2Win’s “Fall 50” list that ranks the most marketable female athletes.
This new athlete partnership continues the strong momentum for Adidas’ volleyball business, as they are the exclusive apparel partner for League One Volleyball.
Volleyball Season Dominance
Murray and Nebraska open this season this weekend at the AVCA First Serve Tournament in Lincoln, where Adidas will welcome their newest signing with light projections around campus and in town, plus a partnership with an iconic local coffee shop to give back to Husker fans. Off to a roaring start, Harper and the Cornhuskers won in three straight sets against the Tennessee Bison. The outing was so dominating that Nebraska finished with more than 40 kills. Harper Murray did her part by delivering seven kills with six digs.
In her sophomore season, the Ann Arbor, Michigan native made the AVCA All-American Second Team. She also made the First Team for the All-Big Ten. For the 2024 season, Harper led all Nebraska female volleyball players with a 3.40 kill set percentage with 39 Aces. No stranger to beach volleyball, for 2024, Harper went 18-9 after teaming up with other talented players like Laney Choboy and Merritt Beason.
