This is the full announcement of USAV:
“USA Volleyball refutes a “post” recently circulated through social media and certain blog sites concerning Destinee Hooker and her training status with the U.S. Women’s National Team. The “post” is utterly false and has no basis in fact, including its claim of a conditional “contract” outlining her relationship with the team. All references to involvement by the University of Texas, or any of its staff, are also fabrications.”
According to this announcement, “the special contract created for Destinee Hooker” has never actually existed. The USA Volleyball Federation has never had intention of returning Destinee Hooker into the national team for the Rio Olympics.
It was also confirmed by the website volleyverse.com, which contacted USAV:
“Destinee (Hooker) is not training with the national team and is not under consideration for the Olympic Games,” was the official statement of the USA Volleyball addressed to volleyverse.com.
