According to the standings, the Pink Spiders should have beaten Hi-pass in straight sets, possibly in four sets, but their rivals, who are at the bottom of the standings, really surprised them by reaching the tie-break 3-2 (23-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-23, 15-10). Still, Hi-pass could not go any further than this since the leaders have an amazing Canadian opposite hitter Tabitha Love. She scored 44 points! U.S. import Hillary Hurley had 25 on the other side.
In Men’s V-League, Korean Air Jumbos inflicted sixth loss in a row to title holders Ansan Rush&Cash, 3-0, partially 25-10, 25-19, 26-24. Slovenian Mitja Gasparini led top-placed team in the standings with 20 points. Kang Young-Jun collected 14 for Rush&Cash.
