The defending champions from Russia head to Germany for the first leg of their Play-Off 12 match. The team from the German capital finished 2nd in pool B behind another Russian team, Lokomotiv NOVOSIBIRSK, so they will know what to expect when the champions take to the court. The favourites are without doubt KAZAN after winning all six of their group matches without dropping a set, a simply remarkable feat. CEV Match of the Week women: RC CANNES – Rabita BAKU | 16.01.2013 20:30 CET
We have a mouth-watering tie in the women’s tournament this week as the 2011 silver medalists Rabita BAKU take on the 2012 silver medalists RC CANNES! Rabita dominated their pool winning all 6 matches and dropping just 3 sets along the way and will feel they have the better chance of progressing to the next round. CANNES had a more difficult time of the group stages winning 3 and losing 3, showing that they do have weaknesses in their team. Can BAKU take advantage of these weaknesses?
