Via this gathering CEV President André Meyer, CEV Senior Vice President Aleksandar Boricic and CEV Vice President Jan Hronek – who is responsible for coordinating the work of the Zonal Associations – will be briefed about the actions and programs implemented across Europe to support the growth and development of the sport.
“I would like to emphasize once more that the Zonal Associations and the Small Countries Division play an extremely important role at grassroots level and their focus needs to be put on the organization of competitions addressed to the junior and youth age groups” CEV President André Meyer stresses. “This is also a pre-condition for exploiting the funds that are provided by CEV and FIVB. We had a positive review of their activities this past November during the CEV General Assembly and we are eager to get the latest updates on their strategy to continue with an extensive promotion of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball in their respective areas”.
The four Zonal Associations – BVA, EEVZA, MEVZA and NEVZA – plus the Small Countries Division will be represented by their respective Presidents or General Secretaries who will then prolong their stay in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to attend the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of CEV.
