The guests actually caught a good start going up 8:4 at the first technical time-out of the opening set before Acqua Paradiso MONZA got full control of the operations to down its opponents in three, relatively speedy sets. Serbian spiker Milos Nikic top scored for the home side with 15 points and says: “I am very happy that we have advanced to the semifinals. We played a good game tonight, especially in attack. Dinamo is our next opponent: this is a very strong team, so it means we have to play our best to make it to the final”.
Hungarian Peter Nagy paced Remat ZALAU with 15 points: “We are disappointed with the result, and this is evident, but even more because we did not play well at all. MONZA is a very solid team and after the game in Romania we knew it was going to be difficult for us but nevertheless we had traveled to Italy to take up the challenge”
