The Wolfdogs Nagoya recorded the 10th win in a row and returned to the top of the 2020/21 Japanese Men’s V.League Division1 regular season. They swept Oita Miyoshi Weisse Adler in Round 12 even though they played without the Pole Bartosz Kurek. In his absence, Ryosuke Tsubakiyama stood out, scoring 17 points.
By beating the Sakai Blazers in straight sets, the Toray Arrows noted the seventh successive victory to which they were led by Hungarian Krisztián Pádár (32 points).
The VC Nagano Tridents shocked vice-champions, the Panasonic Panthers (3-2). Thanks to Indonesian Rivan Nurmulki (30 points), Nagano achieved the first win in the league, which came after 11 defeats in a row. The Panthers were deprived of the help of the Pole Michał Kubiak, which obviously had a significant influence on their play.
With 34 points, Yuji Nishida led the JTEKT Stings to a victory against FC Tokyo, who suffered the 6th successive loss.
