Reigning champions of Russia beat Sakhalin Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on the road in a postponed Game 2 of the playoff quarter-finals 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-19) and qualified to the semis where they will meet Yenisey Krasnoyarsk.
Before the start of the match, players of both teams received spring bouquets for upcoming International Women’s Day, March 8. Bethania de la Cruz, Nataliya Goncharova and Yana Shcherban were the most deserving for the win of Dinamo. The captain of Sakhalin, Olga Efimova felt the power of De la Cruz’s powerful spikes as she got hit in the head by the Dominican player’s 3-meter kill in the second set and had to leave the floor.
The other semifinal pair is Dinamo Kazan – Uralochka-NTMK Svedlovskaya Oblast.
