Nepal’s 5th Tiger Cup has redefined volleyball, taking the sport beyond indoor arenas and into the breathtaking outdoor setting of the Himalayas. Held at Pokhara Stadium from January 25 to February 1, the tournament showcased Nepal’s top men’s and women’s teams, attracting over 25,000 passionate fans.

The men’s division featured Tip Top Help Nepal, Gandaki Province Volleyball Association, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police Club, Tribhuwan Army Club, and Sunil Kumar Volleyball Club. The women’s division included Armed Police Force, Tip Top New Diamond, Tribhuwan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Travel Inquiry United, and Tiger Group Pokhara.

More than just a competition, the Tiger Cup celebrates Nepal’s deep connection to volleyball, proving that the sport can thrive in open-air venues. With raw conditions challenging athletes and the energy of an electrified crowd, this event highlights the sport’s true potential beyond four walls. As volleyball continues to evolve, Nepal is embracing a fresh perspective—following international events in Brazil, the USA, and Europe that have previously showcased and reaffirmed the excitement of the game played under the open sky.
