2025 International Volleyball Hall of Fame Class Announced
The International Volleyball Hall of Fame has announced its 2025 induction class, recognizing nine individuals whose impact on the sport has stood the test of time. The ceremony is scheduled for October 18 in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
This year’s inductees reflect the global reach and diversity of volleyball. The list includes Olympic champions, pioneering coaches, and long-serving contributors. Among them are Kent Steffes (USA), one of the original stars of Olympic beach volleyball, and Laura Ludwig (Germany), a five-time Olympian and gold medalist. Indoor volleyball icons Dimitar Karov (Bulgaria), Ivan Miljković (Serbia), Rosa García Rivas (Peru), and Francesca Piccinini (Italy) are also being honored for their decades of international excellence.
Also joining the Hall are Jürgen Wagner, a coach known for transforming European beach volleyball; Barry Couzner, who led World ParaVolley for nearly a decade; and Guillermo “Willy” Paredes, a referee recognized for shaping officiating standards on the world stage.
Since its founding in 1985, the IVHF has celebrated those who’ve shaped volleyball through passion, skill, and dedication. The 2025 ceremony will add nine more names to a growing list of honorees from around the world.
