Penchev, an outside hitter and former member of the Bulgarian national team, has made his mark on volleyball courts across the world. Over the course of his career, he has demonstrated his skills in Poland, Italy, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, Qatar, UAE, Russia, and France. In the previous season, he played with the Indonesian team, Jakarta STIN BIN.

Penchev’s return to Bulgaria signifies a crucial strengthening move by Hebar Pazardzhik. The team has already boosted their lineup with the signing of Michele Baranowicz, and Penchev’s addition only serves to amplify their power.

Further cementing their commitment to excellence, Hebar recently replaced Camilo Placi with Italian maestro Alberto Giuliani. Currently serving as the head coach of the Turkish national team, Giuliani has skillfully guided them to a triumphant finish in the European Golden League. His effective leadership has also ensured the team’s placement in the Challenger Tournament, a preliminary competition for VNL 2024. In the preceding season, he helmed Olympiacos, and under his direction, the Greek powerhouse claimed victories in the CEV Challenge Cup and the Greece Championship.
