According to information from our sources and posts on social networks, former coach of Turkish volleyball giants Halkbank, Taner Atik, has been appointed the new head coach of Kuwait Sports Club. This development follows the tenure of Argentinian coach Damian Arredondo, who helmed the club in the preceding season. Kuwait Sports Club is the reigning national champion and secured fifth place in the most recent Asian Club Championship.
Taner Atik initiated his journey with Halkbank in 2009, beginning as an assistant coach. Demonstrating exceptional skills and leadership, he steadily climbed the ranks to become the head coach for the 2019-2020 season. Notably, under Atik’s guidance, Halkbank navigated its way to the semifinals of the CEV Champions League in the previous season, also securing the Turkish Cup title and emerging victorious in the Playoff Finals.
Atik’s tenure with Halkbank has been marked by a string of impressive achievements that highlight his coaching prowess.
