Russian outside hitter Arina Fedorovtseva is now set to join Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe after resolving her contract dispute with Shanghai Bright. The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) granted her release by issuing an International Transfer Certificate (ITC), clearing the way for her move.
The conflict arose when Shanghai Bright Ubest reportedly failed to fulfill financial commitments during Fedorovtseva’s time with the team. According to her agency, SB Community, the club’s inability to honor the contract prompted legal action through FIVB. The governing body ruled that the conditions for terminating her contract were met, enabling her transfer to another club.
In a statement, SB Community confirmed that FIVB’s decision has freed Fedorovtseva from her obligations to the Chinese team. The agency is also pursuing arbitration to recover unpaid wages, ensuring the athlete receives the compensation she is owed.
