Veteran coach Mohammad Reza Tondravan has officially been named the new head coach of the Paykan Tehran Volleyball Team.
The announcement was made by Naghi Naeji, CEO of Iran Khodro Cultural and Sports Institute, with Behzad Foroughi, Deputy CEO for Sports Affairs, also in attendance. Tondravan, currently the assistant coach of Iran’s national team, brings decades of experience and a solid track record—having won national titles with both Foolad Sirjan and Shahdab Yazd.
Known for his disciplined, team-focused coaching style, Tondravan is no stranger to high-pressure games. He’s been part of major tournaments like the Olympics and the World League, and now steps up to lead Iran’s most decorated volleyball club, which has 12 league titles and 8 Asian championships under its belt.
