Jastrzębski Węgiel has made it official—Andrzej Kowal is the club’s new head coach for the 2025/2026 season.

A familiar name in Polish volleyball, Kowal brings decades of experience, championship titles with Resovia, and international success from stints in Romania and the Czech Republic. Most recently, he helped Cuprum Gorzów stay steady in PlusLiga.
“I’m joining because I want to aim higher,” Kowal shared. “This club plays for big goals, and that’s the kind of ambition I want to be part of.”
Kowal becomes the first Polish head coach at Jastrzębski Węgiel since 2006.
