After days of speculation, it’s now official: Elizabet Inneh has joined Volero Le Cannet, the French club set to compete this season in the CEV Champions League, alongside their domestic league and cup campaigns.
Inneh, a powerful Romanian-Hungarian opposite, spent the 2023/24 season in Poland with Chemik Police, where she won the national championship and finished as the team’s top scorer. Last season, she competed in Türkiye with Bahçelievler Belediyespor, while her move to Poland came after two remarkable years in Korea.
During her time in the Korean V-League, Inneh delivered historic performances. Playing for Daejon Korea Ginseng Corp in 2022/23 and Pepper Saving Bank in 2021/22, she became the first player since 2014 to surpass 1,000 points in a single season, recording an extraordinary 1,015 points.
In the league’s history, only two other stars have reached the same milestone: Brazilian opposite Joyce Silva, who scored 1,009 points in the 2013/14 season, and Colombian Madelaynne Montaño, who still holds the record with 1,076 points in 2011/12.
