Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 has confirmed the departure of its long-serving head coach Silvano Prandi, bringing an end to an 11-year partnership marked by historic success but a difficult current season.

The decision was announced in a brief club statement, citing poor sporting results. Chaumont currently sits 14th in the Marmara Spike Ligue, and both parties agreed to part ways “by mutual consent.”

Prandi, who joined the club in 2015, leaves behind a lasting legacy. Under his leadership, Chaumont claimed its first and only French championship title in 2017, reached four league finals between 2018 and 2023, played in the Challenge Cup final in 2017, and lifted the French Cup in 2022.

Now 78, the veteran Italian coach began the season with five straight league defeats. Although three wins briefly steadied the team, heavy 3–0 losses away to Narbonne on December 30 and at home against Saint-Nazaire last weekend proved decisive.
