Allianz Milano has completed a huge signing ahead of the new SuperLega campaign, bringing experienced Cuban middle blocker Robertlandy Simon to the club.

Simon joins from Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza after another strong season in Italy, where he helped Piacenza lift the CEV Cup. Known for his dominance at the net and powerful serving, the 38-year-old continues to rank among the league’s top players.
The Cuban veteran said Milano’s sporting project played a key role in his decision.
“I was immediately interested by the club’s ambitions and the role they wanted me to have within the team,” Simon said following the announcement.
Over a career spanning more than two decades, Simon has won domestic and international titles in Italy, Brazil, and South Korea, including the Champions League and Club World Championship. He is widely regarded as one of the best middle blockers of his generation.
Simon said he hopes to bring experience, intensity, and leadership to the Milano squad as the club looks to compete at the highest level next season.
“I always try to help the team with hard work and commitment,” he said. “I’m excited for this new challenge and ready to give my best for the club and the supporters.”
