Alianza signed a 17-year-old middle blocker María Paula Caraballo. Despite her young age, she is already a member of the senior national team of Colombia, competing in the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix. Caraballo arrived in Alianza from the team in her home country Liga Bolivarense.

In addition to the Colombian international, Alianza engaged the Puerto Rican middle blocker Neira Ortíz, who played as an outside hitter at the University at Buffalo volleyball team Buffaloes before starting to play professional volleyball. A 24-year-old Ortíz spent the last season at home in Capitalinas de San Juan, being awarded the Most Improved Player.
