South Korea’s Suwon Hyundai Hillstate, the 1st-rank women’s club of the previous season, which was ended prematurely by Covid-19 outbreaks, swept Gimcheon Korea EX Hi-Pass – ranked second in the last season – by 25-13, 25-18, 25-20 – at its home Suwon in the opener of the 2022/23 Dodram V-League regular season Saturday (October 22).
The game venue was packed out as Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) had turned to “100 percent stands” for the first time in three years, for both women and men today showing the growing popularity of volleyball in the latter days.
Suwon Hillstate’s American opposite Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani, in the opening of her second season at her club, led the attack of the team scoring 19 points with 39.47 percent attack.
The women’s league was terminated at the fifth round of six rounds in March 2022.
