The Middle European Volleyball League (MEVZA) has started with two matches, held in Zagreb and Ljubljana.
In Zagreb, Croatian champions HAOK Mladost dominated Slovakia’s TJ Spartak Myjava with a clean 3-0 win (25-13, 25-23, 26-24). The standout performer for HAOK Mladost was Đorđe Jovović, scoring 20 points, while Greek outside hitter Spyridon Chandrinos added 16. Matus Konc led the Slovakian team with 11 points.
The second match took place in Ljubljana, where Slovenian champions ACH Volley defeated Austrian team SK Zadruga AICH/Dob, also in three sets (25-17, 25-21, 25-22). ACH Volley’s veteran Mikko Esko guided his team to victory, supported by Luka Maroft with 11 points and Jan Pokersnik with 10. On the Austrian side, Bryan Martinez led the scoring with 13 points, while Viktor Luciano Yamamoto contributed 12.
