Lyubomir Ganev was elected President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BFV).

At the General Assembly in the capital city of Sofia, Lyubomir Ganev was elected the new President of the BVF. Delegates approved a change in the federation’s statutes that allows the president to serve a maximum of two consecutive terms for four years. Ganev, who was the Vice-President, replaced Dancho Lazarov at the helm of the federation.

Ganev is the legendary player in the country, a long-time national team player who won five championships in Bulgaria and one championship in Greece, as well as the bronze medal in 1986 FIVB World Championship, during his professional career.
