An experienced Dominican player De la Cruz will wear the jersey of 5-time Russian titleholders Dinamo Kazan in the 2019/20 season, the club announced. A 32-year-old opposite hitter already competed in the Superliga (2016/17 with Dinamo Moscow) and won the title. She is coming from an Indonesian side Jakarta Pertamina Energi.
Amongst numerous gold medals, these stand out in the collection of the Dominican Republic national team captain: one each in the CEV Champions League and FIVB Club World Championship (both with Eczacıbaşı VitrA), Russian Championship (Dinamo Moscow), Dominican Championship (Mirador), Puerto Rican Championship (Criollas de Caguas) and Korean Championship (GS Caltex Seoul Kixx).
Individually, De la Cruz was recognized Dominican Republic Volleyball Player of the Year twice and MVP of the Pan-American Cup, NORCECA Championship and Puerto Rican Championship once each. She was also named Best Scorer of the NORCECA Championship, Pan-American Games and Japanese Championship twice apiece as well as Best Scorer of the Pan-American Cup and Puerto Rican Championship one-time apiece.
Recently, Dinamo Kazan extended with an opposite hitter Tatyana Kadochkina and parted ways with an outside hitter Anastasiya Bavykina (Proton Saratov).
