Spor Toto won their first-ever Turkish Men’s Volleyball Cup.

Defeating Halkbank by a 3-1 (25-27, 25-18, 25-19, 25-17) in the final in Ankara, Spor Toto won the 2021 Turkish Men’s AXA Sigorta Kupa Voley. It is the first title in the competition for this young club, who was established only 2 years ago.

After making an outstanding display in the semifinal yesterday, the 2016 Rio Olympics winner Wallace Souza marked the decider as well. The Brazilian scored 27 points for Spor Toto and earned an MVP award. Cuban Fernando Hernández tallied 20 points for Halkbank.

ITA M: Perugia focused on bringing Grbić

He signed a 2-years contract with Zaksa last year. He won Polish Cup with them, not sure what happened so Zaksa lost the championship. They kicked out Lube and Zenit from the Champions League and have a good chance of becoming European champion although Trentino didn't win anything this year so this is their last chance.

USA M: Russell undergoes surgery in US, will miss Tokyo Olympics

Russell had one of the best sports surgeons in the world work on him so I expect he will be in great hands. While devastating for any athlete Russell is young enough to have both Paris and Los Angeles in his Olympic future at very high level.
Piacenza is building something very special there and Russell is a perfect type of player and professional to attract others to come there and build around.
Wishing him a full and speedy recovery. Reply
