Zenit Kazan
After two consecutive defeats in the finals of this competition, the Russian powerhouse came to Poland fully motivated to take revenge on Sada Cruzeiro.
It was a cracking performance by Vladimir Alekno boys, who scored a 3-0 victory (25-23, 25-19, 25-18) to dethrone the Brazilian champions.
Only in the first set, Sada Cruzeiro were equally good as the Russian team, but in another two sets, they couldn’t race with the faster vehicle from Kazan.
Wilfredo Leon was the best scorer with 20 points, while Maxim Mikhailov added 14. On the other side, Yoandy Leal ended the game with 14 points.
Now, Zenit Kazan are waiting for the winner of the clash between PGE Skra Belchatow and Lube Civitanova.
