The Netherlands National Team receiver/outside hitter Maret Balkestein-Grothues suffered a knee injury before the semifinal match of the 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix Final Six.

That was the reason why she was not in line-up for the match against Brazil, two days ago. Grothues got injured during warm-up and first prognosis was not promising. Even her participation at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games was doubtful.

But, as Dutch Volleyball Federation published, Grothues will be absent from court for only two weeks. Thus, she will be at disposal of head coach Giovanni Guidetti for the Rio Olympics in August.
