There were even some rumors that suggested Dmitriy Muserskiy came into conflict with Russia head coach Vladimir Alekno and that it was the main reason the experienced middle blocker got out of the Olympics roster.
However, the Belogorie head coach and the Vice-President of the Russian Volleyball Federation Gennadiy Shiipulin denied all speculations of the possible conflict inside the national team.
“No, there is no conflict between Alekno and Muserskiy. The situation is clear, Muserskiy really has an injury that prevents him from playing at the upcoming Olympic Games,” said Shiipulin for TASS.
Recall that Dmitriy Muserskiy did not play for Russia at the European Olympic Qualifer in January due to family issues.
