Firstly, receiver Sergey Savin extended his contract with the bronze medalists of the Russian Men’s volleyball Championhip. Then, Lokomotiv management confirmed transfer of German international György Grozer and renewal with captain Nikolay Pavlov.
Now, coach Plamen Konstantinov followed the footsteps of Savin and Pavlov. The Bulgarian expert came to the one-time CEV Champions League and FIVB Club World Championship winners last year, and after only one season at helm of the club he brought it three medals: gold in the Cup of Siberia and the Far East, silver in the Russian Cup and bronze in Superliga. Which is even more important, led by Konstantinov, Lokomotiv did not leave the top three in the standings entire season.
