France’s Elouan Chouikh and Joadel Gardoque claimed the Beach Pro Tour Elite title, defeating Latvia’s Martins Plavins and Kristians Fokerots in straight sets to win the season-ending event in Brazil.
Chouikh, and Gardoque, controlled the final 21-13, 21-19, securing the gold in just their second Elite-level appearance. The victory comes one year after the pair debuted on the Beach Pro Tour and marks a breakthrough season for French men’s beach volleyball.
Brazil’s Evandro Gonçalves and Arthur Lanci took bronze, beating compatriots André Loyola and Renato Lima 21-18, 21-17 for their third podium finish in Brazil this year.
