Serbia captain Dragan Stankovic: We played an excellent match and probably the best up to now. We know well what awaits us in the last weekend and it won’t be easy. As last year, we won six points and now we have to do our best in the last two matches. The US team showed during this Intercontinental Round how well they can play and what they can do. Now we need the support of spectators from Novi Sad and Belgrade and we hope for the best. The level of our game is rising.

Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic: The atmosphere in Nis was fantastic, also thanks to the presence of Bulgarian fans. At the beginning of the match we were very nervous and there were several balls that we could have played much better, but as the match went on, we kept doing what we agreed upon and played very good in the most important points. We offered ourselves a chance to have a way to the Final Six.

Bulgaria coach Camillo Placi: Congratulations for the victory of the Serbian team in both matches of this weekend. They absolutely confirmed how strong they are in their game. They played a lot better and definitely deserved this victory.

Bulgaria captain Todor Aleksiev: Congratulations to the Serbian team. Honestly, I can’t say why we didn’t play our best in the first match and especially in this one. We could have had a chance to play much better, but we missed it.
