Press conference

Cuba coach Rodolfo Luis Sanchez:

Our young team enjoyed to play in 2014 FIVB World League. They knew that this match will be tough. Our players are improving and getting stronger. I want to congratulate Turkey, they played really well. Every result is important. It does not matter which situation you are. We always try hard and do our best.

The organization has been excellent. We had been treated very well everywhere, by the local federation, by the hotel, etc. Bursa is a very nice city. We can come back here for another tournament.

Cuba player Uriarte Mestre Osmany Santiago:

I want to congratulate Turkish team. They played really well. We did our best. Sometimes we had ups and downs with a big margin. But we managed to come back and win.

Our mentality is always positive. That’s why our game improved and got the victory. I am happy to play in World League at 19 years old. Our coach gave me his confidence and I hope I will not lose it. I will try for that.

Turkey coach Emanuele Zanini:

First of all, it was a good match for both sides. Congratulations to Cuba for their win. I envy for the result but I am satisfied with the performance and attitude of my players. We are a young team. It was the first time that we played in the World League. Our players understood how to play real volleyball. This is a good experience for our team.

Turkey player Baturalp Burak Gungor:

We played hard matches in the 2014 FIVB World League and the final was the hardest as usual. It is not easy to play a final. I believe our team fought well. You can lose a game just because of a point or two. We are very sad to finish second this competition.
