Peru coach Natalia Málaga: I want to thank Cuba for the commitment they put into what was a remarkable match, which helps us to continue to prepare the girls. Both teams are around the same age and have almost the same experience. Peru’s points came from the serve and the results we wanted were given to us. Now we have to keep practising to improve every day.
Peru captain Angela Leyva: We know that Cuba are very good opponents. Tomorrow we play a very important game and we will give our best to keep improving because we are very young and we have much to learn.
Cuba coach Juan Carlos Gala: We went out to win as in all games. Peru and Cuba are two very evenly matched teams in age and experience. Now, we have to keep preparing to give a good battle from the first serve to the final against Puerto Rico.
Cuba captain Sulian Matienzo: The Peruvian team won many points on their serve and that’s what we missed in the counter attack. Tomorrow, we will go point-to-point to win against Puerto Rico.
