WCH M: Poland won, but France stayed at top

The second phase of the World Championship 2014 has been finished.

In the last three games there has been a lot of excitement.

Poland has beaten France 3-2, but Les Blues managed to defend the top spot of Pool E. The best scorer of this match was French player Mory Sidibe with 21 points, while Mika Mateusz led Polish side with 16 points.

China has surprised Cuba after five sets thanks to excellent performances of Weijun Zhong (20 points) and Daoshuai Ji (18 points). In the defeated side Osmany Santiago Uriarte scored 13 points.

After five consecutive losses, Italy has finally collected victory. Azzurri were better than Australia with 17 points of Jiri Kovar.

Cuba – China 2-3 (25-19, 20-25, 25-18, 20-25, 11-15)

Poland – France 3-2 (25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-12)

That was the hardest group of this Championship so far. Brazil and russia had an easy way to top 6. Now we will see how they play with real powerfull teams.
