The national team of Iran with Julio Velasco as head coach joined this list for the first time in history. They beat Egypt and Japan along the way.
Also Netherlands won their qualifications by competition with Dominican Republic and Portugal. Those new teams replaced Japan and Portugal.
Let’s remind that the previous World League edition was won by Poland. USA got silver medal and Cuba took the third place in ranking.
