Not a good promotion of volleyball: Players of Varamin and Panthers confront each other (VIDEO)

The rivalry of the Men's national teams of Iran and Poland is well-known in the volleyball world. Somehow, it transferred to a club level although, in this particular situation, it was not tied to a direct encounter of the clubs from these two countries.

Varamin-vs-Panthers

Iran’s Shahrdari Varamin won the 2019 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship held in Chinese Taipei by beating Japan’s Panasonic Panthers in the final. But, at the end of the match, the Pole Michał Kubiak, playing for the Panthers, got involved in an argument with Varamin players, pointing his finger at some player of the Iranian team, showing that he has been provoked. By looking at the video, it looks like that Pourya Fayazi was the player that Kubiak had something to discuss with. The commotion escalated to the point that all players and coaching staffs of both teams started to confront each other. And it took quite a long time before the incident was over.

This definitely was not a good promotion, not only of the volleyball in Asia but of this beautiful sports discipline in general.

How else should Kubiak behave after this gesture of the Iranian? Nothing happened? For a long time, Iran’s volleyball players have been terrible in various tournaments.

Well i can say that about the polish volleyball nation team as well. by far the team that most provoke, including a lot of rude gestures by kubiak and kurek… kubiak actually is one of the most known players that celebrate in front of others in the game, provoke a loot. the majority of the countries have a problem with polish nation team

Re: @m.
Im Cuban and even i can sense a bit of hate in ur comment, u must be iran NT supporter, i remind u that was seyeed a wannabe star player who start the feud vs Kubiak and Kurek long time ago, Iranians think they are good in volleyball, but they just have a good youth system and a couple of good players, not strenght or conviction to be one of the top teams in the world, just a team who ‘like’ to participate and thats all…. dont act like if u were better than others, cause u are not. With that being said, get back to ur cave.

I didn’t see Cuba in FIVB! Plus, don’t most guys go to Cuba to screw your women, so i think you should go back to making $20-30/month in your communist system

Re: @I dont Care what u say
The fact that Iran is good or not in volleyball has nothing to do here. We are a country that progressed in volleyball without strong history in it, no one expect us to be Olympic champion.
You say ‘ I can sense a bit of hate in your comment’ but really I feel A LOT of hate in your comment.
I’m not sure, but I guess you didn’t watch the whole match, in first and second set, when Kubiak was on winner side, he did many sarcastic laughs, winks and … and everything was OK because he was winning. The one who acts this way when his team leads must tolerate reactions while losing.
All of these tensions started when Kubiak provoked 12000 fans in Iran, we lost to many teams but why there is no conflict with Anderson or Juantorena?! Only Kubiak causes tension where Iranians are.
Anyway although I sense a lot of hate from you, but if there was not political problems with Cuba national team you would have a lovely team because of your talented players.
