Shanghai remained the closest pursuers of Beijing after extending their winning streak to nine games. They defeated Guangdong by a 3-0 with 11 points apiece from Zhang Zhejia (4 kill blocks) and Frenchman Julien Lyneel, and 4 aces from Zhan Guojun.
