Sesc RJ beat national vice-champions Dentil/Praia Clube, which were aiming to win their first-ever trophy in the competition, in the final of the 2020 Copa Brasil feminina de vôlei in Jaraguá do Sul (a repeat of 2016 final) by a 3-1 (18-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-23). Thus, the Rio de Janeiro team won the 4th trophy in the national Cup, becoming the most-titled side in the competition that was abandoned from 2008 to 2014.

The ladies coached by Bernardinho have qualified to play the next edition of the Super Cup against the Superliga champions. One-time Olympic winner Tandara Caixeta marked an encounter in front of the packed stands at the Jaraguá Arena (9,000 spectators) by a great performance. An experienced opposite hitter scored 40 points, setting the new record for points in a single match in any competition organized by the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV)!

Sesc showed to be a pretty high obstacle for Praia this season as they already beat them in the Superliga. Both teams continue the fight for the national championship, being tied at the top of the charts at 38 points.

Recall how the men’s final went.
