Cruzeiro’s attack next season will be led by a player that has already worn their jersey once – Alan Souza.
The 26-year-old opposite hitter, the Brazil National Team member, has returned to Cruzeiro after three years. His first staying at the Contagem club lasted for five years and included performing for the youth and senior team. During that time, Alan has collected several titles: 2 in the FIVB Club World Championship, 3 in the Brazilian Championship, and 2 in the South American Club Championship.
With his previous club, Sesi, he won the Copa Libertadores last season. With the Brazil National Team, Alan took the FIVB World Cup and South American Championship, both in 2019, and was named MVP in both tournaments.
