Momota and Ricardinho
Two years ago, the life of the lifter Momota Shimada completely changed. In March 2011, the player defended the staff of Sakai Blazers in Osaka, an earthquake followed by a tsunami devastated the east coast of the island and scared Momota. Afraid to go through that experience again, Shimada decided to abandon the country and moved to the other side of the world. Ricardinho hardcore fan, decided to try life in Brazil.
“I came to Brazil in March 2011. With everything that happened there, I do not think of returning to live in Japan I want to stay here”, said Shimada.
Momota comes to Maringa after playing at Atibaia in Serie B and then realised that his dream is playing alongside his idol, Ricardinho, who is also the president of Maringa.
