Gerdau Minas started the 2025/26 Women’s Volleyball Superliga on a high note, defeating Batavo Mackenzie 3 sets to 1 (25–12, 25–18, 21–25, 25–21) at Arena UniBH.

Mackenzie’s Carla Santos led all scorers with 16 points (15 attacks, 1 block), while teammates Saraelen Lima and Gabriella Souza – Gabiru added 12 each. For Minas, Glayce Vasconcelos stood out with 15 points, followed by Amanda Marques with 14, and Thaisa Daher and Hilary Johnson, both with 12.
Polish setter Julia Nowicka was named best player on court, earning the Troféu VivaVôlei for her sharp distribution and control.
After two dominant sets, Minas struggled in the third as Mackenzie reacted, but the hosts regained rhythm in the fourth. Amanda sealed the victory with the final two points.
