Itambé Minas defeated Sada Cruzeiro in five sets to level their Superliga Men’s semifinal series and push it to a decisive third match.
Sparked by a strong performance Minas rallied in a closely fought contest at Arena UniBH. The home side overturned a five-point deficit in the third set and maintained composure in the tie-break to seal the win.
Sada Cruzeiro forced the decider after responding in the fourth set, with Douglas Souza and Oppenkoski leading the scoring effort. Oppenkoski finished as the match’s top scorer with 26 points, while Douglas Souza added 22. Samuel Neufeld led Minas with 19.
The deciding match will be played at Ginásio do Riacho in Contagem and the winner advances to face Vôlei Renata in the final on May 10 in São Paulo.
