Rexona vs. Brasília
After wearing Rexona’s jersey for several seasons, Amanda Francisco returned to familiar gymnasium while wearing one of Terracap/Brasília Vôlei. The fans didn’t forget her (this time they filled the stands more than recently – 825) and shouted her name.
Despite the fact that Brasília had a ‘spy’ Amanda, after a scare in the first set, the current three-time champions of Superliga responded well and confirmed favoritism as hosts 3-1 (24-26, 25-11, 25-20, 25-15).
Natália Pereira with 19 and Monique Pavão with 18 points led Rexona. Paula Pequeno had 14 and Vivian Pellegrino 10 in Brasília. Amanda ended the match with eight points only.
Volei Nestlé/Osasco remained alone at the top of the standings after they struggled to save 2-0 in sets against Pinheiros/Klar as visitors in São Paulo 3-2 (25-13, 25-14, 23-25, 21-25, 15-12).
The Cuban Kenia Carcacés topped Osasco’s scorers with 19 points while Clarisse Peixoto collected 17 in losing team.
In a derby of Round 6, Sesi-SP charged all failures in Superliga so far and caused first defeat to Dentil/Praia Clube 3-2 (25-21, 26-28, 22-25, 25-17, 15-13).
Jaqueline Carvalho played the best match since the start of the season and scored 24 points for the winners. American Alexandra Klineman stood out in Praia with 26.
