CL M: Favorites advance to #CLVolleyM second round, Teruel survive after Golden set

by WoV

All favorites have advanced to the second round of the CEV Champions League qualifiers.

Only the Spanish Teruel had a lot of problems, playing away against Lindemans. They lost the game 3-0 and had to play a Golden set. Luckily for them, they managed to win it and to advance to the second round

Many favorites lost their today’s game after claiming the second round, confirming that they want to give the opportunity to young players.

That was the case with the German side United Volleys Frankfurt.

Our goal was to secure our participation in the next round in our first CL season. Of course, we wanted to win but also give everyone the chance to play. So, third, fourth and fifth set were more about helping our young players to grow,” says Stelio DeRocco, the head coach of United Volleys FRANKFURT.
