Lube-vs-Zaksa
Poland’s Zaksa played a great match against the titleholders Cucine Lube Civitanova on the road in the 1st leg of the playoff of the 2021 Men’s Champions League. The PlusLiga regular season winners are one step away from the semifinals after a 3-1 win over the Italian side. Partially, it was 25-23, 14-25, 25-21, and 25-21 for the team coached by Nikola Grbić who stormed through the pool stage and continued to play on the same level in the knockout phase.
Today, ZAKSA were led by Kamil Semeniuk (21 points, including 5 blocks). Luxembourgian Kamil Rychlicki tallied 17 points for Lube. Cuban Robertlandy Simón served 5 aces.
In a duel of the two quite good acquaintances on an international scene, Russia’s Zenit Kazan defeated Poland’s PGE Skra Bełchatów in 4 sets. Bartosz Bednorz scored 22 points against his fellow countrymen. Iranian Milad Ebadipour tallied 16 points for Skra, while Karol Kłos set up 4 blocks.
