Just like in the first match of the 2021 Men’s Challenge Cup final, Italy’s Allianz Powervolley Milano beat Turkey’s Ziraat Bankası SK Ankara by a 3-2 in the rematch, this time on the road and won the first-ever continental title: 25-23, 23-25, 16-25, 25-18, 15-8. The victory of the team coached by Roberto Piazza came at the end of a very complicated match in which Ziraat had the opportunity to extend it to the Golden Set given they had 2-1 in sets.
Individually, the Frenchman Jean Patry stood out for the SuperLega side, notching 26 points, including 5 blocks. He also became MVP of the final.
