No miracle has happened in Italy as Turkey’s VakıfBank stood in the way of Busto’s dream to play in the final of the 2021 Women’s Champions League.
Giovanni Guidetti’s team stormed past the Serie A side and won by a 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-15), overturning the defeat of 2-3 suffered in the 1st leg at home. How VakıfBank were dominant in the match shows the result at the start of the opening set of 9-0. The scoreboard says that Swede Isabelle Haak was the most prominent figure on the winning side but also in the match (26 points).
VakıfBank will face another Italian club in the title decider in Verona, on May 1 – A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano.
