In the clashes of the Golden European League, Romania continues to win, Spain, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Belarus also on the winning track.

POOL A

Azerbaijan – Romania 0- 3 (14 – 25, 13 – 25, 11 – 25)

A clear and convincing victory for Romania against Azerbaijan. Young Romanian talent Alexia Ioana Carutasu was the top scorer with 21 points.

Spain – France 3 – 1 (25 – 18, 22 – 25, 25 – 18, 25 – 23)

Second defeat for France in this year edition of CEV Volleyball European Golden League. It is worth mentioning the 15 winning blocks of Spain. Opposite, Raquel Montoro from Spain was the top scorer of the match with 20 points.

POOL B

Slovakia – Ukraine 2 – 3 (25 – 22, 22 – 25, 25 – 14, 15 – 25, 7 – 15)

Ukraine defeated Slovakia in a tie break and moved up to second place in the standings. Slovakian Karin Palgutova with 19 points was the game top scorer.

POOL C

Czech Republic – Croatia 3–1 (25 – 13, 20 – 25, 28 – 26, 25 – 22)

This was a clash of two teams fighting in the 2019 European Gold League finals. The Czech Republic repeated the same result as in the final two years ago and beat Croatia 3-1. Gabriela Orvosova from Czech Republic was the game top scorer with 23 points.

Hungary – Belarus 1-3 (19-25, 24-26, 25-16, 22-25)

Belarus won the first two sets, but Hungary did not give up during the second, and after the third set it seemed that the match would be reversed in favor of Hungary. But in the end, Belarus controlled the fourth set well and ended the game with a victory.
