Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia stormed through Trento on the penultimate day of the group stage of the 2022 CEV Men’s Volleyball Champions League – Pool E.
Just like the first match between Trentino Itas and Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia at the very beginning of the CEV Champions League Volley 2022 | Men, this one also ended in straight sets in the favor of the latter. With this result, the ’Block Devils’ can start thinking about the next stage of the competition. As for Trentino, they will have to outplay France’s AS Cannes Dragons on the last day of the group stage and still depend on what happens in the other groups.
Any great fight today was out of the question given that Trentino was decimated with the absences of Podraščanin, Lisinac, and Kaziyski (entered as a substitute on a couple of occasions). Cuban-Polish Wilfredo León tallied 21 points for Perugia (who joined a small group of teams who secured playoff slots ahead of the last round of the group stage), though 70% attack (16/23).
